Macrinus, 217-218. As (Copper, 25 mm, 10.93 g, 11 h), Rome, summer 217-early 218. IMP CAES M OPEL SEV MACRINVS AVG Laureate and cuirassed bust of Macrinus to right. Rev. PONTIF MAX TR P II / COS II P P / S - C Macrinus standing left in slow quadriga, holding branch in his right hand and eagle-tipped scepter in his left, being crowned by Victory standing behind him in chariot. BMC 134 and pl. 83, 6 (same dies). Clay Issue 2. Cohen 107. RIC 152. Rare. The reverse somewhat rough, otherwise, good very fine.
